A 1970s Music Man StingRay II, known for its unique design and distinctive sound!
The StingRay II is an electric guitar that epitomizes Music Man in the late 1970s. It’s a distinctive model that combines a unique body design—similar to that of the StingRay Bass—with a maple neck and fingerboard. It features two humbuckers and an active circuit, offering a wide range of sound variations. Its simple construction, featuring a hardtail bridge, is another appealing aspect. This original 1970s model—now a rare find—embodies Music Man’s unique design philosophy, which sets it apart from Fender and Gibson.
Upon arrival, the front pickup was found to be defective, so it has been rewound by a specialist.
Overall, there are signs of wear, including scratches, dents, and some discoloration and rust on parts.
The neck is in good condition, and the guitar plays well.
