The Gibson Custom 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue is a historic model that recreates the specifications from the first year of the Sunburst finish. Featuring a plain maple top, a mahogany back, and a rounded, substantial neck shape, this guitar captivates with its rich mid-to-low frequencies and a tone with great sustain.Equipped with wire-shielded PAF-style humbuckers, it delivers a full range of vintage-like expressiveness—from the sweet, warm sound of the front pickup to the edgy tone of the rear pickup. The finish embodies the quintessential Les Paul, prioritizing “resonance” and “texture” over flashiness.
There are signs of wear, including scratches and dents primarily on the center of the body back, as well as other minor scratches, dents, and some discoloration on the parts.
The neck is in good condition, and the guitar plays well.
