This is the YOSHIMITSU HOSHINO S 10Strings, a 10-string classical guitar crafted by Japanese luthier Yoshimitsu Hoshino. It features a unique configuration that includes the standard 1–6 strings found on a conventional classical guitar, plus four additional strings that extend the low-frequency range. Nylon strings are used for strings 1–3, while wound strings are used for strings 4–10, producing a different tonal range and rich resonance compared to a standard 6-string guitar.The added 7th through 10th strings are tuned to the notes A, B, C, and D, enabling a wide range of musical expression that makes full use of the low-frequency resonance. This distinctive instrument allows you to enjoy both the charm of Mr. Hoshino’s handcrafted classical guitar and the rich resonance unique to a 10-string instrument.
