With input from numerous guitarists and technicians, we pursued a natural playing feel and playability by chamfering the fingerboard edge and devising the neck taper shape so that it is easy to grip even close to the junction with the body. It is easy to play even in the high position, and even if you switch from an electric guitar, you will feel little discomfort, making it highly playable in a variety of situations, including stage performances, recording, and practice.

The bracing has been improved using Yamaha's proprietary analysis technology, with a newly designed scalloped bracing on the front plate and a newly developed bracing specifically for cutaways on the back plate. This has resulted in a rich full-bodied sound and powerful resonance in the middle and lower registers, despite the cutaway!

The BODY is a folk type with a cutaway neck, all solid, with Sitka spruce on the TOP and rosewood on the SIDE and BACK.

The spruce on the top has been treated with our original "A.R.E (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement)" treatment. This gives it a rich sound as if it has been played for many years!

The pickups use the newly developed "SRT2" system, which is a further evolution of the "SRT (Studio Response Technology)" system. While maintaining the sound quality characteristics of the "SRT" system, which produces an acoustic sound with a rich atmosphere as if it were recorded with a microphone by a top-notch sound engineer in a studio, the SRT2 system has carefully selected and simplified functions to achieve a high operability suitable for stage performances and practice scenes. The pickup itself is equipped with a piezo pickup with independent elements for each string, making it easy to mix the sound of the piezo pickup with that of the "SRT2" system to create the sound the player desires. In addition, players can choose between two different microphone types to suit their playing style and the songs they play.

In terms of looks, the use of wood for the binding around the perimeter of the body and inlays for the resonator holes creates an organic, high-quality impression with the warmth of wood while eliminating any showy ornamentation. The pickguard is based on the N1000, an acoustic guitar used by top artists in the 1970s, and has a strong presence.
