Alder/Maple/Alder 3-ply body construction

The new BB series features a 3-ply alder/maple/alder body construction. The hard maple sandwiched between alder sides enriches the midrange and achieves a body resonance that blends seamlessly into the band's sound. Furthermore, using maple for the body allows direct sound transmission with the maple neck, reducing sound loss between body and neck and reliably capturing string vibration.
Miter Bolting for Secure Neck Attachment

In addition to the four screws securing the neck vertically from the body back, the miter bolting method adds two screws fixing the neck end at a 45-degree angle from the body back. This firmly bonds the body and neck, creating a powerful resonance as one unit. Compared to a standard bolt-on joint, it minimizes energy loss from string vibration, delivering rich sustain and overwhelming body resonance.
Newly Developed Pickup: YGD Custom V7

Features a newly developed proprietary pickup. Combined with the alder/maple/alder body construction, it delivers a clear, projecting sound that cuts through the band mix. Installed on the 700 Grade and Pro Grade models.
Active Circuit

The new BB 700 Grade allows switching between active and passive circuits for sound shaping with a single switch. The active circuit is tuned specifically for the new BB's crisp articulation. Furthermore, the treble knob on the 3-band equalizer functions as the master tone control when using the passive circuit, yet its delicate design ensures no volume difference occurs during switching.This enables smooth, stress-free switching with natural tone adjustments. High-quality gold-plated parts are used to minimize contact issues and sound degradation. The battery alert LED on the back panel warns of low battery via a lit lamp, preventing sudden battery failure on stage.
Controller Section

The new BB700 grade features a 3-band active equalizer, plus an active/passive circuit switch and pickup balancer to flexibly meet the player's desired sound creation.
Convertible Type Bridge & Saddle

The 700 Grade and Pro Grade adopt a "String-Through-Body" construction, routing strings through the back of the body. Compared to the conventional method of vertical string routing from the back, routing strings at a 45-degree angle transmits string vibration energy to the body with significantly less loss.The conventional rear-through method, where strings pass directly beneath the saddle, causes significant vibration loss at the plate and saddle areas, making it difficult to efficiently and reliably transmit string vibration. By cutting the bottom of the body at an angle and routing the strings at 45 degrees, stress on the strings at the saddle is reduced.The difference in contact points of the semi-circular saddle accommodates diverse player expressions, from crisp, clear tones to warm sounds. The Vintage Plus Bridge's brass saddle delivers deep bass, while the steel plate produces a bright sound. Metal parts like springs and screws are made of stainless steel for resistance to rust and corrosion.

* For strings mounted on the bridge from the front, we recommend long-scale strings; for strings mounted from the back of the body, we recommend super long-scale strings.
5-Piece Neck

Featuring a 5-piece neck composed of maple and mahogany, it delivers a crisp, sharp sound. This construction prevents warping and twisting, keeping the neck consistently playable. It also adds the warm tones of mahogany to the tight sound of maple.
Design Neck

Compared to the previous BB model, the neck profile has been made thinner. This achieves high playability suitable for the modern music scene.
Lightweight Tuning Machines

Matching the thinner, lighter body of the new BB, lighter tuners than the previous model are used. This improves overall body balance and delivers optimal playability.
