USED Kay / 1950s K-161 Thin Twin MOD Natural [12]

Kay K-161 Thin Twin from the 1950s is in stock.
The K-161 Thin Twin was manufactured in the 1950s by Kay, an American guitar manufacturer founded in 1931.
Famous for its use by blues singer Jimmy Reed, this model features a tortoiseshell pickguard and two thin blade pickups.

The head design differs depending on the age, but this one is believed to be from the early 1950s.

The tailpiece has been replaced with a Bigsby, and the bridge has been replaced with a metal one.

Flame maple top and back, mahogany sides, mahogany/maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard are the wood specs.

You will enjoy the retro design and tasteful full acoustic sound.
The neck, fingerboard, and body have probably been oversprayed.
The neck is warped and the string height is high due to the lack of truss rod, but there is no fretting or stuck sound at present.

The guitar has been maintained and cleaned at our repair center.
