A legendary COLOR SOUND OVER DRIVER pedal manufactured in the early 1970s.
Based on the stamp inside the cabinet, this vintage unit is believed to have been manufactured in 1973.
The OVER DRIVER is known as a model that was manufactured for several years, with changes made to the cabinet design and transistor configuration over the course of its production run.
This particular unit is equipped with three BC184L transistors and is characterized by a drive tone that combines the clarity and raw power typical of that era.
Its raw and dynamic sound has influenced many players and is highly regarded as a quintessential vintage overdrive.
In the 1990s, SOLA SOUND produced official reissue models, but their component configurations and circuit designs differed from the original units of that era.
