The S.Yairi YD-42 has arrived.
Featuring an all-solid construction with solid wood throughout the body, this guitar delivers a powerful sound that combines rich bass tones with beautiful treble.
Furthermore, it features abalone binding and snowflake inlays that pay homage to the Martin D-45, resulting in a guitar with a truly luxurious appearance.
Regarding its condition, there are scattered scratches and dents throughout the body from normal use, and the metal parts show some tarnish. Additionally, since the string action was low—below 1.5 mm on both the 1st and 6th strings—we have adjusted it by adding shims. While the string action remains slightly low at present, it does not pose any particular issues for playing. Furthermore, there are signs of general wear, such as a whitish discoloration on the back of the body and the sides and back of the headstock.
