Shigeru Suzuki is a guitarist who has helped shape the Japanese rock scene. This limited-edition signature model is a Japanese-made recreation of his 1962 Stratocaster—his longtime companion—produced under his supervision.

The iconic Fiesta Red finish is built up from a Desert Sand undercoat, recreating the appearance the guitar had when Suzuki first acquired it. The topcoat features a minimal application of nitrocellulose lacquer, allowing the finish to develop a unique patina that is uniquely the player’s own the more it is played.

The pickups were developed through repeated prototyping and testing to achieve the rich, presence-filled bass tone he sought. Featuring custom single-coil pickups wound with approximately 20% more wire than standard models, they are paired with 500kΩ pots and vintage SPRAGUE “BLACK BEAUTY” capacitors to deliver both rich low-end and clear, well-defined highs.

From the neck profile measured directly from the original instrument to the carefully selected rosewood fingerboard and the alder body designed to replicate the original’s weight—Shigeru Suzuki’s meticulous attention to detail is reflected not only in the visible specifications but also in the feel of the guitar the moment you pick it up. Complete with a custom neck plate bearing his signature and serial number, as well as a certificate of authenticity, this is a special Stratocaster that carries on Shigeru Suzuki’s sound and aesthetic sensibilities.

The frets show almost no wear, the neck is in good condition, and the truss rod is adjustable.
