Electric and Acoustic Tones
The SE Custom 24 Semi-Hollow Piezo follows the fundamental specifications of the Custom 24, PRS's flagship model introduced in 1985, but with a semi-hollow construction that produces a more acoustic and organic sound.

In addition to the single-coil sound that can be obtained by tapping the coil for push/pull tone, this model is equipped with a piezo system jointly developed by LR Baggs and PRS, which covers both electric and acoustic sounds in one guitar, creating a sophisticated and versatile sound. The model features a piezo system developed jointly by PRS and the electric guitar.

This model features separate volume knobs for the magnetic pickups ("magnetic PU") and piezo pickups ("piezo PU"), and two output jacks (mix/piezo, magnetic).
When connected to the mix/piezo jack, the sounds of the magnetic PU (85/15 "S") and the piezo PU can be blended.
Also, when using the two output jacks, the magnetic PU sound can be sent to an amp, and the piezo PU sound can be sent independently to an acoustic amp or (via a DI) to a PA.
Additionally, when the jack for the magnetic PU is used alone, the battery for the piezo PU is completely bypassed.

What is PRS SE?
Carlos Santana, who has been using PRS guitars as his main instrument since around 1982, proposed the idea of creating a guitar with the high quality of PRS guitars at a low price that students could afford, and the development of this model began. In 2001, the first SE model "Santana SE" was released.

The first SE model, the "Santana SE," was released in 2001, and after many upgrades and quality improvements, the SE series is now not just a low-cost version, but a highly refined guitar that can be used by professionals. The wood and parts prepared and developed exclusively for the SE series are optimized with "how to establish the best sound quality while keeping the price low" in mind.
