For more than 50 years, Yamaha SG has been loved by guitarists all over the world as the leader of solid guitars.
Since the SG175 was released in 1974, the Yamaha SG has undergone various model changes and continues to attract players with its great sound, outstanding playability, and beautiful design.
In the 2000s, the music scene in particular continued to change in many ways, and many new styles of music emerged.
The current SG series was developed to meet the needs of today and to serve as a guideline for solid guitars.

The set neck construction is handmade using advanced Japanese woodworking techniques, the body and neck are made of African mahogany, and the body top is made of arched maple.
Featuring these features, the new SG satisfies the needs of today's musicians with completely new and uncompromising specs.

The SG1802 is equipped with a Seymour Duncan SP90-3, a P-90 type that is essential for classic rock and features the crisp, clean sound that only a single coil can deliver.
Of course, the finished SG's playability, body balance, and neck feel are still there.
