Quilted Maple Top / American Basswood Body

Roasted maple neck & rosewood fingerboard
The neck is crafted from heat-treated maple.
Heat treatment enhances dimensional stability, resistance to warping, water resistance, and stability against temperature changes.
Rosewood, known for its midrange characteristics and warm tone, is used for the fingerboard.

Oval C Neck Shape
After creating and testing several prototypes, we concluded that a neck thickness of 20.5*22.5 (at 1st fret*12th fret) is optimal.
The back of the neck features a satin finish, ensuring a smooth playing experience.
The neck shape is an original design developed by measuring and analyzing the neck grips of dozens of guitars, both from our own company and others.
The neck is shaped to slope gently from the joint between the fingerboard and the neck to the fingerboard edge, creating a comfort grip with a rounded fingerboard edge.
This shape is precisely reproduced using ball milling.
The neck width is set at 47mm at the nut and 66mm at the 12th fret, with a shape designed to prioritize ease of grip in the lower fret area and playability in the classical style—where the thumb rests on the back of the neck—as you move up to the higher frets.

Super All Access Neck Joint / Custom-Designed Body Contour
This is an original body shape designed with a contemporary aesthetic in mind.
The thin body contour and large elbow contour, reminiscent of Ibanez’s iconic “S” series, create a sense of unity between the player and the guitar, significantly contributing to improved playability.
The deep waist of the body ensures excellent handling when held or on stage, delivering high playability.
The body features different radius curves on the front (R3mm) and back (R8mm), creating an ergonomic design that provides an immediate sense of fit the moment you pick up the guitar, whether sitting or standing.

It features the “Super All Access Neck Joint,” which achieves high playability through an 8mm stepped cut from the back of the body and a spherical finish at the neck joint.
The cutaway on the bass string side is designed to be shallow, maximizing the contact area between the body and the neck. This achieves both excellent sustain and resonance while maintaining high playability.
Additionally, the horn and cutaway feature a deeply scooped shape reminiscent of Ibanez’s flagship RG series, ensuring ease of playability in the higher registers.

Stainless Steel Frets / Luminous Fingerboard Side Dot Position Inlays
We’ve adopted stainless steel frets, which are easy to maintain, offer a quick attack, provide excellent separation when playing chords, and produce a clear tone when playing single notes.
The jumbo-sized frets allow for light fingering, making them ideal for playing fast passages and performing smooth bends.
Additionally, we have adopted 3.0mm-diameter phosphorescent dot position markers that boast high visibility, allowing you to adapt to rapidly changing performance environments caused by lighting.

Hyperion Pickups, developed in collaboration with Seymour Duncan
We acquired more than dozens of pickups and measured the frequency characteristics of all of them.
From these, we identified the specifications and sound profile considered optimal for the AZ. This AZ-exclusive pickup was born from a collaboration with Seymour Duncan—a company synonymous with pickup brands that boasts a long history while continuing to innovate today.
These custom pickups are designed to keep the output slightly restrained so that the clarity of the original sound remains even when distorted, with a focus on picking responsiveness and reproducibility.
From treble to bass, and from the sound of the 1st string to the 7th, we prioritized overall balance and pursued excellent effect response.
Alnico-5 magnets are used.

dyna-MIX 9 Switching System
With a single flip of the mini-switch, you can freely switch between humbucker and single-coil modes, producing nine different sound variations.
The neck and middle single-coil pickups are wired in series to simulate a neck humbucker sound.
This switching system is ideal for today’s guitarists who must handle multiple roles with limited gear.

Ibanez T1572S Tremolo Bridge (manufactured by Gotoh) with steel saddles
This bridge is a collaboration between Ibanez and Gotoh, a reimagined version of the Gotoh 510 bridge, which is widely regarded by many players and brands as the definitive tremolo bridge.
Featuring a steel saddle and steel inertia block that deliver excellent attack and a tight sound, it is also characterized by its excellent note separation during chord work.
The string spacing is designed with a narrow 10.5mm pitch, prioritizing ease of cross-string picking—a requirement for players who frequently use skipping or hybrid picking techniques.

It also features an arm socket compatible with the Ibanez Edge tremolo arm and the Ultra Light Tremolo Arm (carbon fiber/UTA20/sold separately).
The arm snaps into place without the need to screw it in, as with conventional arms. It also features an arm torque adjustment mechanism that allows players to lock or release the arm angle according to their preference.

Furthermore, it comes standard with a stud lock mechanism that contributes significantly to tuning stability and resonance by securely locking the arm in place with a set screw embedded in the stud.
It features a two-point floating design that allows for smooth arm movement and arm-up.

Gotoh MG-T Locking Machine Heads
We have adopted the Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads, which are renowned for their tuning stability and ease of string changing.
The design allows you to easily lock the string threaded through the post hole by turning the dial with your finger.
