~Features~
Solid Sitka Spruce Top
The body top is crafted from solid Sitka spruce.
It offers excellent acoustic properties across a wide frequency range and is characterized by a bright, clear sound.

Body Contouring & Rounded Edges
Ergonomic contouring has been applied to the top of the body (elbow area), where the elbow rests during play, as well as to the back of the body.
In addition, the body edges are rounded to provide a feel and playability similar to that of an electric guitar. (The body edge binding is made of rosewood.)

Cutaway Contouring
The cutaway section of the top is contoured to improve access to the higher frets.

FR-Shaped Chambered Body with Side Ports
Based on Ibanez’s original single-cut “FR” shape, this is a slim-profile body featuring a unique chambered structure with a side sound port.
This construction delivers a rich, full-bodied sound with tight tone, as well as an astonishingly wide frequency response ranging from rich bass to clear treble.
The top is made of solid Sitka spruce and features fan bracing, which is common in classical guitars.

C-shaped Nyatoh neck
This C-shaped neck has a moderate thickness of 21 mm at the 1st fret and 22 mm at the 7th fret.
Nyatoh wood, known for its rich mid-to-low frequency response, is used for the neck.
The back of the neck on both models features a matte (non-glossy) finish that feels smooth and comfortable in the hand.

Ebony Fingerboard
The fingerboard is made of ebony, which is known for its tight sound, powerful high-end attack, quick response, and rich sustain.

46mm-wide nut / 400mmR fingerboard
The nut width falls between that of a standard classical guitar and an electric guitar, and the fingerboard features a 400 radius. Designed with electric guitar players like Tim in mind, these specifications set this instrument apart from classical guitars to ensure smooth fingering.
Furthermore, as an instrument that pioneers the new category of “nylon-string electric guitars,” it features a slightly lower string action (compared to a standard classical guitar) that even embraces a bit of buzz.

“Tree of Death” Fretboard Inlay
The naming and design—which seem to complement Ibanez’s iconic fingerboard inlays—are special features that symbolize the TOD model, brought to life through Tim’s own vision.

Fishman Aura Custom Tim Henson System (Preamp & Pickup)
This is a custom system that combines Fishman Aura technology with a Fishman Acoustic Matrix under-saddle pickup.
It generates a response from the pickup signal that sounds as if it were recorded with a microphone in a studio, and by seamlessly blending the two, it delivers a vivid and natural acoustic sound.
In addition, the stereo output function allows the signals from the piezo pickup and the body pickup to be output independently through a single output jack.
When combined with Aura’s Image Blend feature, it delivers a rich, three-dimensional nylon-string tone with natural acoustic depth. (Powered by a 9V alkaline battery)
