This is complemented by the distinctive, resilient core of Adirondack spruce and the warm resonance characteristic of mahogany, all combined with exceptional clarity. The biggest structural innovation is Yamaha’s first-ever bolt-on neck joint. This maximizes the top’s vibrational efficiency, delivering astonishing volume, a clear attack, and rich, long sustain.Although this instrument was originally meticulously engineered for acoustic design to "maximize the singer’s voice as an accompaniment," its perfect balance and excellent separation across the entire frequency range perfectly accommodate everything from technical bluegrass flatpicking to delicate fingerstyle solo guitar.
