The "L" series is renowned worldwide as Yamaha’s pinnacle of acoustic guitars. Even after more than 40 years since its release, it continues to be cherished by countless top artists as a legendary instrument. The reason for this is simply that it has consistently delivered the sound and playability demanded by each era at the highest level.

Based on the standard LL16 ARE model, this instrument is a true "Deluxe" (D) version, lavishly adorned with luxurious embellishments reminiscent of the flagship "L36 Series."The outer perimeter of the body top, clad in a jet-black gloss finish, and the soundhole rosette are densely bound with genuine, elegant "Avalon inlays" without any gaps. Furthermore, the ebony fingerboard features exquisite "diamond position inlays," which, in synergy with the gold tuners (TM29G), establish an overwhelming beauty and presence that shimmers seductively under the stage lights.

Featuring Yamaha’s traditional “Original Jumbo Body,” renowned for its overwhelming volume and dynamic range, this model boasts a luxurious all-solid construction. The top is crafted from carefully selected Englemann spruce and treated with Yamaha’s proprietary wood refinement technology, “A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement).”Despite being brand-new, it achieves a deep, rich resonance with minimal harsh overtones, reminiscent of a vintage guitar that has been played and aged over many years. The solid rosewood back and sides deliver a solid, rich bass response that harmonizes exquisitely with the sparkling high frequencies.
Furthermore, the non-scalloped X-bracing has been refined into a lower-profile, square shape, maximizing the precision of the intersection points. This ensures that the powerful string vibrations generated by the jumbo body are transmitted throughout the entire body with no loss, resulting in a more dynamic sound.

The neck features a "5-piece construction" of mahogany and rosewood, providing exceptional durability against warping and twisting. The latest neck taper—thinned by 1mm at the 10th fret—and the "Comfort Edge" (a beveled edge on the fingerboard that feels like it’s suctioned to your palm) deliver exceptionally smooth playability all the way up to the high frets.Optimized for modern playing styles, the string action has been fine-tuned to be slightly lower on the 6th string and slightly higher on the 1st string, and the string spacing has been widened by 0.3mm, making it perfectly suited for everything from fingerpicking to powerful strumming. Additionally, the inclusion of a "double-action truss rod" ensures precise adjustment of the neck’s condition in response to environmental changes.

It also comes standard with a "passive pickup" that’s ready to use right out of the box.It utilizes a high-quality piezo element, well-regarded in the electro-acoustic guitar world, to achieve excellent response that preserves the delicate nuances and dynamics of the natural acoustic sound. By deliberately opting for a passive design without a built-in preamp or battery, it offers the versatility to connect directly to an amplifier or DI box without compromising the guitar’s inherent lightweight acoustic tone or beautiful body lines.
