- A signature model that Steve himself describes as “the evolution of the JEM” and has named “PIA: Paradise in Art.”
While the body is made of alder, just like the JEM7V, the body design incorporates various meticulous details, such as the body edges, contours, and horns.
- A symbolic petal grip designed to evoke the image of nestled flower petals
- A 5-piece maple/walnut PIA neck, shaped to Steve’s preferred grip, just like the JEM
- PIA Blossom inlays that, along with the grip, serve as the signature art of the Steve Vai model
The fingerboard is made of rosewood. Luminlay, a phosphorescent material, is used for the side position markers.
