This is the standout feature of the MDM model, designed as a truly versatile bass capable of handling various genres and adapting to any playing style.

MDM-Exclusive C-Shape Neck
This C-shaped neck, exclusive to the MDM, is compact yet features a substantial, rounded neck back and smooth fingerboard edges for a comfortable grip.
It is crafted from roasted maple, a material that undergoes heat treatment to ensure uniformity while enhancing stability, water resistance, weather resistance, and durability against warping.

MDM Original Body Shape
This original shape is optimized for the MDM, which is designed with a 24-fret configuration.
It was designed with smooth access to the higher frets in mind, as well as a contoured shape that improves fit and comfort—whether playing standing or sitting—and achieves excellent body balance.

Super All-Access Neck Joint
To enhance playability in the higher fret range and enable stress-free fingering, the joint area has been recessed one step, and the edges have been rounded significantly.

Delta S5J Pickup
This pickup embodies the essence of Ibanez while retaining its iconic size and appearance.
Black-plated stainless steel pole pieces and neodymium magnets produce an aggressive yet balanced tone.

MR5S Mono-rail Bridge
The MR5S (Mono-rail) bridge features an individual string spacing adjustment mechanism. Each string is independent, allowing the vibration of each string to be transmitted directly to the body.

Ibanez SonitechS Preamp 3-band EQ w/HexaMid System
The “Sonitech” preamp features a 3-band EQ designed for extensive control, along with volume and pickup balancer controls, as well as a master tone control that adjusts the overall character of the sound regardless of whether the EQ is engaged or bypassed.
Furthermore, a mini-switch on the body top allows you to select from three different peak frequency bands for the Mid control.

Aero-light Machine Heads
These robust yet lightweight machine heads are made from ultra-ultra duralumin, which combines exceptional strength with lightness.
These original Ibanez parts prevent so-called “headstock drop” while delivering smooth turning action and high tuning accuracy.

Finger Ramp
A dedicated finger ramp—a staple for fingerstyle players—is included.
Note: This ramp is designed to be attached to the body using the double-sided tape on its back. Removing the attached ramp may damage the finish on the body’s surface. Please exercise extreme caution.
Installation and removal of the ramp are the customer’s responsibility.
