For over 40 years since its launch, Yamaha’s flagship “L Series” has been beloved by top artists around the world. Reigning as the flagship of the series, the LL56 CUSTOM is a pinnacle custom model crafted with the utmost care—one by one—by Yamaha’s skilled artisans using the finest, meticulously selected wood materials.

The top features the highest-grade solid Engelmann spruce treated with Yamaha’s proprietary wood modification technology, “A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement).” This results in rich overtones reminiscent of a well-played vintage guitar, along with a quick, responsive attack.The sides and back are crafted from solid Indian rosewood with a rich, beautiful grain, delivering the overwhelming sound pressure characteristic of the Original Jumbo body and boasting an extremely wide dynamic range—from deep, clear bass to sparkling high frequencies.

The neck features a 5-piece mahogany and rosewood construction that offers superior rigidity and acoustic properties, with a traditional volute design on the back of the headstock. The fingerboard and bridge are lavishly crafted from high-quality jet-black ebony, which, combined with the smooth neck grip meticulously hand-finished, provides exceptional playability that feels as if the guitar is clinging to the player’s fingertips.
The finish features an ultra-thin gloss lacquer (Stone Powder Filler) that has been meticulously polished from the base coat onward, ensuring it does not compromise the wood’s natural, dynamic resonance. The exquisite decorations—Avalon inlays and wood binding that elegantly adorn the body’s perimeter, rosette, and headstock—exude a beauty that truly represents the pinnacle of Japanese craftsmanship.
