A multifunctional model featuring precise sound shaping via a 3-band active equalizer and switchable active/passive modes.

The new BB series features a 3-ply alder/maple/alder body construction. The hard maple sandwiched between the alder layers on both sides enriches the midrange and produces a resonant body tone that blends seamlessly into the band’s sound.

It employs a miter bolting system that uses four screws to secure the neck vertically from the back of the body, plus two additional screws that secure the neck end at a 45-degree angle from the back of the body. This firmly bonds the body and neck, producing a powerful, resonant tone that feels like a single, unified unit.

Features newly developed, proprietary pickups. Combined with the alder/maple/alder body construction, they deliver a clear, cutting sound that stands out in a band setting. Available on the 700 Grade and Pro Grade models.

The 700 Grade of the new BB allows you to switch between active and passive circuits with the flip of a switch. The active circuit is tuned specifically for the new BB’s well-defined tone. Furthermore, the treble knob on the 3-band equalizer functions as the master tone control when using the passive circuit, yet its delicate design ensures there is no change in volume when switching between modes.The battery alert LED on the back panel lights up to warn you when it’s time to replace the batteries, preventing sudden power loss on stage.

The new BB700 grade features a 3-band active equalizer, as well as an active/passive circuit switch and a pickup balancer to flexibly accommodate the player’s desired tone.

The 700 and Pro grades feature a “string-through-body” construction, in which the strings pass through the back of the body. Compared to the conventional method of routing strings vertically through the back of the body, routing them at a 45-degree angle allows the energy from string vibration to be transmitted to the body with minimal loss.In the conventional “string-through-body” method, where strings pass directly beneath the saddle, there is significant loss of string vibration at the plate and saddle, making it difficult to transmit string vibration efficiently and reliably. However, by cutting the bottom of the body at an angle and routing the strings at a 45-degree angle, stress on the strings at the saddle is reduced.The different contact points of the semicircular saddle accommodate a wide range of the player’s expressive needs, from crisp, clear tones to warm, rich sounds.
* We recommend long-scale strings when routing the strings through the bridge from the front, and super-long-scale strings when routing them from the back of the body.

Featuring a 5-piece neck constructed of maple and mahogany, it delivers a crisp, sharp sound. This design prevents warping and twisting, keeping the neck in a consistently playable condition, while the warmth of mahogany complements the tight sound of maple.

The neck profile has been made thinner compared to the previous BB model, delivering excellent playability suited to the modern music scene.
