Master guitarist John Patitucci is renowned worldwide for his virtuosic technique and superb playing, which are brimming with diverse musicality.
This signature model embodies his refined sensibilities and specific requests, featuring a 35-inch (889 mm) super-long scale, 26 frets, and a custom-tuned active circuit.

The body features a luxurious four-layer laminate construction consisting of exotic maple, white ash, alder, and exotic maple. It is bolt-on to a high-rigidity three-piece maple neck, producing a focused attack and rich sustain.Furthermore, it has undergone Yamaha’s proprietary “I.R.A. (Initial Response Acceleration)” treatment, which reduces internal stress caused by paint and adhesives immediately after completion, bringing out the ideal body resonance right from the start.
To accommodate the increased string tension resulting from the 35-inch scale, a volute is positioned on the back of the headstock to ensure structural strength. To support extended playing sessions, lightweight resin tuning pegs and aluminum posts are used, and the weight balance has been meticulously designed.

The electronics feature two custom-designed double-coil pickups equipped with Alnico V magnets. Even when playing complex voicings, each note retains its distinct contour, producing a clear, low-noise tone.The “Active 5-Control System”—comprising a master volume, balancer, and active 3-band EQ—combined with a solid brass bridge (19mm string spacing) that transmits string vibrations without loss, enables unrestricted sound creation ranging from delicate melodic playing to a rich, deep low end.
