The D-18 is a model known for being used by Doc Watson, Paul Simon, Clarence White, Bernie Ledon, and Takahiko Ishikawa. It is characterized by excellent sound separation and attack.
It captures sound well on the microphone, making it suitable for recording, and because it produces a clear, unmuddy tone, it is favored by studio musicians and technically skilled guitarists.
While not flashy, its tasteful appearance is also a major appeal.
The current model features forward-shifted scalloped bracing, an aging toner finish, a tortoiseshell-pattern pickguard, and open-gear tuners.
It can be used for a wide range of applications, from backing vocals to instrumental performances.

The saddle is cut slightly lower, with a height of approximately 1.5–2.0 mm on the 6th string side.
A pickup is installed, and the output is located at the endpin.
We have repaired the binding with adhesive.
There is a slight raised crack in the center of the top, and scratches, dents, and weather checking are visible throughout the body.
The string height on the top is approximately 2.2 mm at the 12th fret on the 6th string and 1.7 mm at the 12th fret on the 1st string.

There is a tobacco odor on both the case and the guitar itself.
Comes with the original hard case.
