USED SELMER Selmer / Alto Mark VI SN.59xxxBIS Mark 6 Alto Saxophone [03]

This is a Selmer Alto Sax Mark 6, manufactured around 1955. The sound has a soft tone with an SBA feel to it. It has been repaired overall, and there are no post sink marks, neck socket solder repair marks, and the neck is not matched, so it is probably a fracellous piece. The thumb hooks and thumb rest have also been replaced, giving the impression of having been through a fair amount of warfare. The sound is jazzy, as you would expect from the early days. The volume is the same as SBA, but the tone is impressive. All tampos have been replaced (plastic booster) and adjusted.
