USED Tom Anderson / Hollow Drop Top Classic Desert Sunset with Binding [03]

We are pleased to announce the arrival of a used "Hollow Drop Top Classic" made in 2001, with a 4-point joint and early specs, which are few and far between nowadays!
As the model name suggests, it has a hollow structure, which combined with the non-tremolo bridge gives the impression that the entire body is ringing!

Body, Neck and Fingerboard
The quilted maple top, swamp ash body, hard maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard are used. The neck is also gloss-finished, which is rare for Tom Anderson.
The '62 Roundback neck shape has a slightly thicker grip, 1 11/16" nut width, and heavy frets.

Equipped with the well-known "Buzz Fayton Tuning System" for outstanding tuning accuracy and sound separation.

Pickups
SA1R SA1 H2+ pickups are installed.

The SA1 pickups incorporate modernity into the sound and provide noise-free and well-balanced sound quality.

The H2+ pickups are long-selling classic humbuckers. It is ideal for players who prefer a hard, high output sound, as well as for those who prefer a sweet middle that resonates strongly.

Controls.
In addition to simple controls of 1Vol, 1Tone, and 5-way selector, 2-Way mini switch can be used as a coil split when in 4-position excluding the bridge PU. In addition, an add-bridge design allows an additional rear P.U. to be mixed by turning up the tone knob when the single P.U. is in use. It may look simple, but it is quite versatile in sound making.

This unit is also equipped with Vintage Voicing, a passive circuit that automatically switches on and off, recognizing 250K pots for single coil pickups and 500K pots for humbucking pickups. Thus, the sound of both humbucking and single coil pickups is not compromised.

Condition
There are some paint chips and minor scuffs on the outer edge of the head section, but considering the year of manufacture, the condition is relatively low use.
The tone pot has been replaced with a push-push type.

The neck, frets, truss rod, etc. are all in good playing condition.
The instrument has been fully adjusted and cleaned at our repair center when it arrived, so you can use it with no worries.
