This is an Otto Link mouthpiece for alto saxophone.

The design is different from modern mouthpieces, and the sound coming out of the deeply machined buff and chamber is soft, dark, and foggy. It takes a certain knack to play a mouthpiece of this age, but I think it is a good mouthpiece to reproduce the sound of those days. This one seems to have been replated and may have been refaced, but I think it is in good condition. The attached ligature is also old.

オットーリンクのアルトサックス用マウスピースです。

現代のマウスピースとは違ったデザインで深く削り込まれたバッフ、チェンバーから出てくる音は柔らかくダークで霧がかったような音色だと思います。この年代のマウスピースを演奏するにはそれなりのコツが必要ですが、当時の音を再現するには良いマウスピースだと思います。こちらはリプレートしているようでリフェイスされているかもしれませんがコンディションはまずまずだともいます。付属のリガチャーも古いものです。
