The MODERN series was born as a 24-fret modern-style guitar that embodies this philosophy in every detail.

It features a smooth, oval-shaped neck profile, a well-balanced asymmetrical body, and an innovative neck heel that is unmatched in playability and comfort.In addition to the classic combination of a flamed maple top and basswood back, the series now features a roasted maple neck that offers high resistance to changes in temperature and humidity, as well as a distinctive resonance. The lively resonance of roasted maple, combined with basswood’s characteristic smoothness and midrange, creates a perfect tonal balance.

The captivating flame maple used for the body top is further enhanced by a rich lineup of Trans Color finishes. The headstock features a bold gloss black finish. Suhr guitars, including the MODERN PLUS, are finished with a Thin Skin (ultra-thin) polyurethane coating. By keeping the paint film as thin as possible, we’ve created a guitar with exceptional resonance and sustain.

The addition of a push/pull switch enables coil-tapping of the humbucker pickups, expanding the range of sound variations even further.

There is some color fading on the body top.
