USED YAMAHA / TRB Custom MBS [03]

One of Yamaha's finest lines, Yamaha Artist Services (YASLA), has just arrived in used condition!

Established in Los Angeles in 1989, YASLA is a custom store, but not an incubator for all players, repairing and designing existing models.

The TRB is a multi-string bass that continues to be highly supported by artists who specialize in technical playing.
The new arrival is a 6-string type dressed in "Mist Brown Sunburst" color. This is a highly practical model mainly used by John Patitucci and others.

The body is mainly made of mahogany with exotic maple covering the top and back. 24-fret ebony fingerboard and multi-layered thru-neck are used. Even looking at the specifications alone, it is clearly different in grade from the regular line models.
Piezo type YLB-S6JZB (Ceramic) pickups are used. It is characterized by its wide range and overtone sound, making it a perfect model for multi-string models.
The controls are Vol, Treble, Bass, Balancer, Piezo PU Mix, and Standby SW (mute switch).

The body and head have some scuffs and scratches, and some parts are dull.
Both truss rods are tight, and less than half of the truss rod is left in the tightening direction, but the neck is currently straight with no playability issues.
The weight is 5.09kg, but the overall balance is good, and the handling feels much better than the numerical image of the weight.

This is one of Yamaha's top class models.
