The long partnership between Carlos Santana and Paul Reed Smith has contributed greatly to the fortunes of PRS Guitars. The Santana Retro is a tribute to this pivotal partnership through the release of a number of his signature models and derivatives. The Santana Retro pays homage to the "pre-factory" guitars Paul built for Santana in the early 1980s, and features a number of design features that have been reintroduced, including a deep waist body shape, the same heel cut as the original model, the headstock shape, and the nut design. There are many points that have been adopted again in terms of design.

The Santana Retro is, by Santana's own admission, a true musical guitar, a hybrid of the history of PRS and the latest manufacturing technology. This is the Santana Retro.

Individual Description
The orthodox yet original specifications include the ultra standard combination of maple top and mahogany back, 24.5 inch neck scale, and the original neck shape that was created based on feedback from Santana's requests.
The original signature pickups are mounted on the PUs to reproduce that spontaneous sound.

The pickups have been updated with TCI (Tuned Capacitance & Inductance) process from the 2020 model year.

In fact, this model has many subtle differences from the rest of the line, such as the counterbore on the back panel.
This is a great choice for Santana fans as well as those who are looking for a more classical sound!

Condition
There is one ding on the back of the head, but it is in relatively clean condition with little signs of use.
The neck, frets, truss rod, etc. are all in good playing condition.
