The CE-1 Chorus Ensemble was the world's first "chorus pedal" and the first BOSS effects pedal released in 1976, before the release of the Compact Series.
The beautiful sound created by combining the chorus and vibrato units of the famous Jazz Chorus (JC series) guitar amps into a single unit set the standard for chorus effects in the world. It is a masterpiece of analog stereo chorus that remains highly popular to this day. It was the first effect pedal to use a BBD element, and its warm analog sound is unique and appealing.
It produces unique and distinctive chorus and vibrato effects.
