This model is a reissue of the 1968 Les Paul that Tom Scholz, a guitarist of "Boston" who debuted in 1976, modified and used.
It is a precious one that was made in a limited edition of 300 pieces at that time!

Maple top, mahogany back body, 1 piece mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, and standard Les Paul specs.
The neck shape is "1968 reissue profile" with a good thickness of grip typical of 1968 Les Pauls.
The parts are faithfully reproduced from the actual instrument, including Schaller M6 tuners, a lightweight aluminum tailpiece, and an ABR-1 bridge.
It is equipped with 22 jumbo frets.

The body color is natural and reproduces the stripped gold top.
Even the screw holes for the original pegs on the back of the head and the screw holes and metal fittings where the pickguard was attached on the body have been reproduced.
Weather checks, scratches, dents, and peeling paint on the body back have also been reproduced, giving the guitar a stately look.

The front pickups are original "P-90" and the rear pickups are original "DiMarzio/Super Distortion".
This is a faithful reproduction of a 1968 Les Paul with the rear pickup replaced with a "DiMarzio/Super Distortion".
The combination of the edgy sound of the rear DiMarzio pickup and the bluesy front P-90 is unique to this model.

As for the condition, there are no scratches or dents that are different from the original, although it is difficult to tell because of the weather check and other aged processing as mentioned above.
The original hard case and certificate of authenticity are missing.

This is a limited edition of 300 pieces, so it is a very rare piece that can hardly be seen in the market!
