The Custom 24 is synonymous with PRS, and has been the centerpiece of the PRS lineup since its introduction at Winter NAMM in 1985.

A favorite of many players, including top musicians who travel the world to perform live, the Custom 24 features the original PRS Gen III tremolo system and DMO (Dynamic, Musical, Open) pickups, in addition to volume and tone controls and a 5-way blade switch. Dynamic, Musical, Open (DMO) pickups. Designed by Paul Reed Smith and the PRS new product engineering team, the DMO pickups are the culmination of all the know-how gained in recent product development, from the long study of vintage pickups, to pickup sound analysis and improved tuning techniques. The DMO pickup is the result of all the know-how we have accumulated in our recent product development.

And this DMO pickup combines expansive, vocal-like, and colorful sound characteristics with a transparent, modern sound across a wide frequency range, from low to high frequencies.
