2012 Gibson Custom Shop L-5 CES Vintage Sunburst is now in stock!

The L-5 was designed by Gibson string instrument maker Lloyd Loar and introduced in 1922 as an acoustic archtop guitar. The electric model has been used by many famous guitarists including Wes Montgomery, the famous jazz guitarist.

The body is made of spruce on the top and figured maple on the sides and back, with a maple and walnut neck and ebony fingerboard.
The neck shape is a C-shape, which is not too thick and fits well in the hand.

The finish color is a chic "Vintage Sunburst.
Other features include flower pot inlays on the head, block inlays on the fingerboard, and gold hardware, giving the L-5 a high-class feel.

Two original "57 Classic" pickups are installed.
These pickups are reproductions of vintage "PAF" pickups, and are characterized by their crisp high-mids and sweet overtones.
The sound is a combination of solid sound and acoustic sound.

The overall condition of the instrument has some scuffs, scratches, and dings.
There is also a paint crack on the side of the neck. Some parts are slightly dull.
The condition of the instrument is fine, although there are some parts that show signs of use.
