This is the Yanagisawa S-880 soprano saxophone.
It is well-loved for its compatibility with Erimona mouthpieces, and its popularity as a Japan Vintage saxophone remains undiminished.
At the time of its manufacture, thicker tubing was used compared to today, resulting in a rich, powerful tone.
The body has plenty of headroom to respond well to a variety of mouthpieces, making it an exciting instrument to develop your playing style with.
Its rich depth and projection—qualities you won’t find in modern instruments—make it a great fit for any genre.
While there are some scratches and lacquer chips here and there from normal use, there is no major damage, and it is in relatively good condition.
All pads have been replaced with new ones, and the instrument has been thoroughly adjusted, so you can enjoy playing it right away.
