Newly arrived pre-owned "JB-4 Classic," a traditional style Jazz Bass type from long-established Japanese brand MOON!

Moon Custom Guitars has established its position as a domestic component brand.
The "JB-4 Classic" is in stock this time. As the name suggests, this model is manufactured with vintage-like specifications. It is the twin of the active type JB-4A, and has a high reputation as Moon's masterpiece.

The material of this model is 2pc alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fretboard. The paint is definitely lacquer, as there are weather checks and paint chips throughout. Although we could not determine the age of this guitar, the shape of the head and the logo indicate that it was probably not made in recent years. The vintage-like specs are mixed with modern specs with 210 radius and 21 frets, making it a hybrid configuration. The pickups are protected by copper foil for noise reduction. Only the tone pots have been replaced.

The sound has a Moon-like well-proportioned and precise middle, and the body balance of 4.43kg, which is a little heavy for an alder, is well matched to give it a sense of massiveness. The thickness of the low midrange is also wonderful, but the treble range, which has such a profound feeling but is still beautifully output, cannot help but be admired. You can feel a clear attack regardless of whether you finger, pick, or slap the strings.

There are weather checks, paint chips, paint peeling, dull parts, rust, and dents throughout, indicating that the instrument has been carefully handled for a long time.
The neck is in good condition and the truss rod works fine. The frets are only about 70% remaining, but you should be able to use it for a while without any problems.
