USED MARTIN / 1980 O-18 [03]

"An easy-to-hold, O-size classic model!"

We’ve just received a 1980 Martin 0-18, one of the brand’s classic models.
The slim, compact 0 model offers excellent responsiveness thanks to its body shape and produces a rich, full sound.
It features a spruce top with mahogany sides and back, and an ebony bridge and fingerboard.
While well-suited for singing and accompaniment, it’s also highly recommended for fingerstyle playing. For lead playing, it produces a sound that is delicate yet full of substance, with a very powerful tone.
The nut width is approximately 43 mm, and it features a square truss rod.

There are two cracks on the top pickguard, extending from the left and right edges toward the bridge; these areas have been repaired with patches applied from the inside.
The top surface of the bridge has been sanded and is slightly thinner.
The nut grooves have been cut slightly deeper. The edges of the pickguard have warped slightly due to age. There is a crack approximately 3 cm long along the center seam of the top, extending from the bridge. The frets appear to have been replaced.
The bracing has been repaired with adhesive. In addition, there are scratches and dents visible throughout the instrument.
The string action is approximately 2.4 mm at the 12th fret on the 6th string and approximately 1.9 mm at the 12th fret on the 1st string, making it easy to play. The case has a musty odor.
The sound is powerful—highly recommended.
