USED FENDER USA / 1965 Jaguar Sunburst [03]

We’ve just received a 1965 Fender Jaguar Sunburst, as indicated by its serial number and other details!

This guitar features a bound neck and dot position marks, characteristics of a transitional-era model.

The body is made of alder, and the neck is maple. It’s a 1965 model with the date “1OCT65B,” a B-neck, and a rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays.
The neck features a C-shaped profile that tapers toward the higher frets, typical of this era.

The pickups feature a gray bobbin on the front and a black bobbin on the rear, with a mix of enamel-coated and foam-wound wire.

The bridge pickup has no date stamp, and while the date of the neck pickup could not be confirmed, there are no signs of replacement, so it is believed to be original.

True to the Jaguar’s character, it produces a vintage tone that is bright and crisp yet full-bodied.

The pot dates are 304-6545 (Vol) and xxx-6545 (Tone), indicating original 1965 pots. Although the volume and tone pots in the preset section are illegible, there are no signs of replacement, so they are judged to be original.

An additional shim has been added to the neck pocket.
The sponge in the mute section has deteriorated and is no longer usable.

While there are signs of wear, such as peeling paint and scratches, the guitar retains a vintage-like appearance, including the sunburst finish with its faded red tones.
