The model we’ve just received is part of Yamaha’s BB series. Since its launch in 1977, this traditional model has undergone numerous updates and has been loved by countless bassists.
Among them, the BB434 we’ve just received is a model that offers exceptional value for money within the BB series. It features the PJ pickup configuration—essentially synonymous with the BB—and an iconic, rounded body. It also employs a 6-point miter joint, just like the BB Pro series, which is the top-of-the-line model in the BB series. This enhances neck stability and ensures a crisp, responsive sound. It delivers excellent sound quality despite its affordable price point.
This model features classic alder for the body, a 5-piece maple and mahogany neck, and a rosewood fingerboard.

The control layout follows a Jazz Bass motif with two volume controls and one tone control.
The sound is tight yet rich, making it extremely versatile, and combined with its lightweight design (3.79 kg), it offers exceptional playability.

Based on the serial number, this instrument is believed to have been manufactured in 2024. While there are some scratches across the body, overall wear is minimal. The neck is currently in good condition. The truss rod functions normally but is slightly worn.
