This is a Cornet Alto Saxophone Model 6M "Lady Face." It was manufactured around 1940. Considering its age, it’s in excellent condition with minimal signs of use. The 6M’s sound—which has captivated many players—combines a light, lively tone with the characteristic power of a Cornet instrument. It’s an indispensable sound in the jazz scene, offering nuances and an atmosphere that can only be achieved with the 6M.Compared to modern saxophones, there are some aspects—such as the table keys—that take some getting used to, but many players still use this model today, and once you get the hang of it, you’ll be able to focus fully on your playing. The pads are in good condition, and the instrument has been fully serviced, making it ready to play right out of the box.
