A used "The Rat" from the LARGE BOX (BIG BOX) era has arrived!

While the tone knob on current models is labeled “Filter,” models from this era are characterized by the “TONE” label.
Furthermore, the way it responds differs from current models; it operates in the standard direction.

Based on the pot date, we’ve determined this unit was manufactured in 1979. (POT DATE: R1377947 × 3)
It features a National Semiconductor LM308N operational amplifier.

While there are some scratches and rust overall, considering its age and the painting methods of the era, it’s in relatively good condition.

Its appeal lies in its thick, wild sound, which differs from current models. Another noteworthy feature is that it doesn’t break up even when the gain is turned up.

Models from the “Large Box” era are becoming increasingly rare on the market, so please consider purchasing this one soon!
