Starting in 2013, the specifications underwent a major overhaul, featuring a tubular truss rod, a neck set using hide glue, and various parts and color tones that brought the model closer to authentic vintage guitars.
Although the Historic Collection transitioned to the “True Historic” line in 2015 and production was temporarily discontinued, this 2014 model—which can be considered the culmination of the series—remains highly sought after on the market.

The unit we’ve just received features a natural back with a gloss finish, based on the 2013 specifications.
While the 2014 catalog typically features a black back with a VOS finish, the 2013 specification is a highly sought-after model due to its limited availability.

It is equipped with the “Custombacker” pickup, which remains immensely popular to this day, faithfully reproducing picking nuances and volume control in its output.
This vintage-like tone is a sound unique to the Custombacker.

Unlike the VOS finish, the gloss finish’s characteristic sheen makes the gold color stand out even more, making this a truly beautiful instrument.

There are minor scratches near the jack, slight pick marks on the front pickup escutcheon, and a small pinhole next to the control panel, among other minor imperfections throughout the body.
Additionally, there is a crack in one of the control knobs and slight tarnish on the hardware, but there are no noticeable scratches, and considering its age, it remains in excellent condition.

It comes with all original accessories and is in excellent condition—a highly recommended instrument.
