A Custom Shop model (YCS: Yamano Custom Shop) commissioned by Yamano Gakki, the distributor at the time, has arrived. This model is characterized by carefully selected, high-quality wood and the special specifications of that era.

This 1957-spec model features a glossy ebony fingerboard with deep color, a maple top, a mahogany back, and a ’50s-style neck that offers just the right amount of grip.
It is equipped with the 57Classic pickups, which remain immensely popular to this day, delivering a sweet, presence-filled tone and the fast attack characteristic of an ebony fingerboard.

Overall, there are minor scratches, dents, and scuffs, as well as some slightly noticeable linear scratches on the side of the body. The entire headstock shows weather checking, and cracks have formed along the binding due to paint shrinkage from aging; there is also a scratch that looks like it was caused by something catching on the tip of the back of the headstock.
Additionally, there are two indentations on the fingerboard at the 2nd fret, beneath the 5th and 6th strings—likely caused by the strings—but these do not affect playability.

Other than that, the hardware shows some scuffs and slight tarnish, but considering its age, the gold finish remains vibrant, and with no critical damage, the guitar is in good overall condition.
The neck is in good condition, and the frets have about 80% of their original height remaining.

This is a rare model that is popular on the market, featuring an abundance of high-quality wood typical of that era.
