A 1996 EDS-1275 has arrived!
Featuring a high-quality Honduran mahogany body and a maple neck designed for strength, this guitar embodies the distinctive specifications of the 1990s EDS-1275.

It is equipped with a 490R and a 498T pickup, respectively, and is characterized by a sweet, full-bodied tone and a well-defined midrange with excellent sustain.
The combination with the maple neck provides a clearly defined tonal contour, resulting in a sound with a distinctly rock-oriented character.

The controls consist of two volume and two tone knobs, with separate master volume and master tone controls for the 6-string and 12-string sides.
The two 3-way toggle switches include a standard pickup selector (the toggle with the black cap in the center) and a neck selector (the toggle with the cream-colored cap) that switches between “12-string neck / Mix / 6-string neck.”

Overall, the guitar shows signs of wear appropriate for its age, including scratches, dents, weather checking, and tarnished hardware. Additionally, there is paint peeling at the tip of the 6-string side of the headstock, along with a crack and paint damage running along the headstock veneer.

Two of the control knobs have been replaced, but no other replacements are visible, and the guitar remains in a condition close to its original state.
While it shows moderate signs of use, the weather checking—which is evenly distributed across the body and appears to be the result of natural aging—is beautiful, and combined with the authentic patina, it exudes a wonderful atmosphere.

This is a wonderful guitar, crafted to the Custom Shop quality standards of its era, and it’s still very much playable.
