This limited-edition model was created to commemorate Gibson’s 130th anniversary, with only 130 units produced worldwide in each finish.
It features a thick, 1958-style neck with a secure grip, a neck without fingerboard binding, and a stunning aging finish by Murphy Lab that masterfully recreates the weather checking, waist buckle marks, and even rust on the hardware that result from years of play.

It features a 3-ply maple/poplar/maple body, a mahogany neck, Historic Narrow Tall frets, a high-quality rosewood fingerboard, and hide glue for the construction. It adheres to the early 1958 specifications, featuring a rounded cutaway—known as the “Mickey Mouse horn”—with the celluloid binding on the sides of the fingerboard omitted, and white plastic buttons for the strap pins.

The pickup features an unpot-ted Custombucker, CTS 500K pots, and paper-oil capacitors, delivering a vintage-like, clear tone that matches the guitar’s stunning appearance.

The semi-hollow body, treated with an aging process by Murphy Lab, has seen a remarkable improvement in resonance, giving the impression that the entire guitar—from the body to the neck—is resonating.
The unpotted Custombucker pickups faithfully reproduce the guitar’s natural resonance and the player’s touch, evolving the rich, harmonically complex, and three-dimensional sound into an even more dynamic tone—a quality that remains evident even when plugged into an amplifier.

Due to the aging treatment, the details of any subsequent scratches are unclear; however, with virtually no fret wear and all accessories included, the guitar is in pristine condition with almost no signs of use.

The hard case included is a Lifton 5-latch case (pink interior, brown exterior), highly popular among fans, that faithfully reproduces the original specifications. It features a Custom Shop serial number starting with “A 84XXX,” specific to the 1958 reissue, making it a must-have for enthusiasts.

With its deep-colored rosewood fingerboard, beautiful faded sunburst finish, and realistic aging applied down to the finest details, this guitar boasts a dignified vintage look—and a tone and sound that are just as impressive!
