USED TAYLOR / 314ce-Mahogany ES2 Japan Limited [03]

We have received a used 2016 Taylor 314ce LTD.
It was manufactured at the El Cajón factory in San Diego, California.
This 314CE model features a solid spruce top, solid sapele sides and back, and is equipped with an ES2 pickup.
While the standard 314ce has a nut width of 44.5 mm, this 314ce LTD features a narrower nut width of 42.9 mm. Additionally, while the body sides and back typically feature a matte satin finish, this model has a gloss finish.
It also features special decorative elements not found on standard models, such as the position marks and the soundhole rosette.

The body size is the Grand Auditorium (GA style), which is Taylor’s standard size, and it delivers a unique depth and a resonance that exceeds its size.
It produces a slightly crisp, well-defined sound with emphasis on the mid to high frequencies. Although it’s a cutaway electro-acoustic guitar, it has excellent natural resonance and a very rich tone.
With simple controls, you can easily achieve both a crisp, defined sound and a rich, resonant body tone.

There are signs of overall wear, including scratches, dents, and tarnished metal parts. There is paint cracking and a step at the joint where the body ends meet. The battery compartment is the older, smaller type.
The string height on the 6th string is approximately 2.4 mm. The truss rod has about 90 degrees of adjustment remaining in the tightening direction, and the saddle height is ample.
This guitar is easy to play and perfect for solo guitar or strummed accompaniment.
