A used GIBSON MONTANA/HUMMINGBIRD CUSTOM WALNUT has arrived.

Since its debut in 1960, the “Hummingbird” has continued to be beloved as one of Gibson’s iconic square-shoulder models. Unlike the standard mahogany sides and back, this particular guitar is a custom model featuring walnut sides and back.

Key specifications include a Sitka spruce top, walnut sides and back, a mahogany neck, and a rosewood fingerboard and bridge.

The appeal lies in the sound that combines the square-shoulder body unique to the Hummingbird with the clear response and rich harmonics characteristic of walnut. While it boasts the thick, presence-filled midrange typical of Gibson, the individual strings remain well-defined, allowing you to enjoy a wide range of playing styles, from powerful strumming to delicate arpeggios.

As for its condition, there are some dents, scratches, and tarnish on the metal parts, showing signs of aging and wear commensurate with its age.

There is a moderate bulge visible on the top below the bridge.

The neck has a very slight forward bow, but it is within the acceptable range. The string action at the 12th fret is approximately 2.5 mm on the 6th string and approximately 2.0 mm on the 1st string.

The truss rod has been tested for movement up to 60 degrees in both directions, and there are currently no issues with its adjustment function. The frets maintain a playable height, with approximately 60% of their original depth remaining.

The pickguard has been re-glued by our shop, but there is slight lifting at the edges. Please note that the instrument will be delivered in its current condition.

There are no issues with the electronics.

The original hard case is included.
