We’ve received a used YAMAHA CPX15W.

Yamaha’s “Compass Series” of electro-acoustic guitars debuted in the late 1990s. This model, the CPX15W, is part of a distinctive lineup inspired by the four cardinal directions, and it was designed with the “West” (the American West) as its theme. The CPX15W features longhorn-inspired decoration around the soundhole and fingerboard inlays reminiscent of a concho belt, crafted from mother-of-pearl and turquoise.

Key specifications include a solid spruce top, walnut sides and back, a mahogany neck, an ebony fingerboard and bridge, and a 650mm scale length. The deep-bodied CPX design combined with a cutaway offers both rich natural resonance and playability in the higher positions.

As for its condition, there are numerous dents and scratches, as well as tarnish on the metal parts, indicating signs of aging and wear.

There is a slight bulge on the top beneath the bridge.
The neck has been straightened using an iron at our shop and currently has a very slight forward bow. String action at the 12th fret is approximately 2.5 mm on the 6th string and 2.0 mm on the 1st string.

The truss rod has been tested and confirmed to move up to 60 degrees in both directions, but the remaining adjustment range is somewhat limited. While there are currently no issues with the adjustment function, please be aware in advance that future adjustment options will be limited. The remaining fret depth is approximately 60 percent.

There are no issues with the electronics.

A non-original hard case is included.
