USED Hofner / 500/1 Violin Bass [03]

The "Hofner 500/1"—which continues to be the dream instrument of bassists around the world—has arrived in our store as a used item!

Known as the “violin bass,” the Hofner 500/1—the brand’s flagship model—enjoys enduring popularity thanks to its use by Paul McCartney of The Beatles.

The light yet warm, woody sound unique to a hollow-body bass is still very much intact, allowing you to enjoy its one-of-a-kind body resonance. The control knobs and other parts authentically capture the atmosphere of the era, making this a bass that gives you a special sense of excitement just by holding it.

The neck is currently in good condition, though there is little room left to loosen the truss rod further.
As for the exterior, there are signs of aging and minor scratches from use, extensive scratches on the back of the body, and visible aging on the parts. Additionally, the pickguard shows slight warping and lifting, but this does not affect playability.
