A used YAMAHA FGX3 Red Label has arrived.

The “Red Label” series blends modern design and playability while carrying on the tradition of the YAMAHA FG series, which originated in the 1960s. This particular model is the FGX3, featuring a traditional FG-style body equipped with Yamaha’s proprietary Atmosfeel pickup system.

Key specifications include an A.R.E.-treated solid Sitka spruce top, solid mahogany sides and back, an African mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard and bridge.

The pickup system features Yamaha’s proprietary Atmosfeel (SYSTEM74). This system combines an under-saddle pickup, contact sensors, and a microphone, and can be controlled via Master Volume, Mic Blend, and Bass EQ. It preserves the natural nuances of an acoustic guitar while also supporting line output to amplifiers and PA systems.

In terms of condition, there are signs of normal wear and tear associated with use, including dents, scratches, scuffs, and tarnish on the metal parts.

There is a slight bulge visible beneath the bridge on the top.

The neck has a very slight forward bow. The string action at the 12th fret is approximately 2.5 mm on the 6th string side and approximately 2.0 mm on the 1st string side; the guitar is currently playable.

The truss rod has been tested for movement up to 60 degrees in both directions, and there are currently no issues with its adjustment function.

We have performed a fret leveling adjustment at our shop. The frets are currently at a playable height, with approximately 80% of their original depth remaining.

There are no issues with the electronics.

It comes with the original gig case, truss rod wrench, and soundhole cover.
