The K.YAIRI / JY-K13MAH has arrived as a used item.

This is a JY-shape model from the K13 series, crafted at Yairi Guitars in Kani City, Gifu Prefecture.
This particular instrument was made in 2007. The K13 series is characterized by an all-solid construction that brings out the natural resonance of the wood; this JY-K13MAH model features a solid spruce top paired with solid mahogany sides and back.

Key specifications include a solid spruce top, solid mahogany sides and back, a mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard and bridge. This guitar captivates with the warm midrange characteristic of mahogany sides and back, combined with the natural resonance unique to an all-solid construction.

As for its condition, there are signs of general wear, such as dents, scratches, and scuffs, and the metal parts show some corrosion.
There is moderate warping visible on the top.

The neck is currently almost straight, with string action measured at approximately 2.8 mm on the 6th string and 2.0 mm on the 1st string at the 12th fret.
The truss rod has been tested and confirmed to move up to 60 degrees in both directions, though it is somewhat stiff, leaving little room for future adjustments.

Overall, the frets have approximately 50 percent of their original depth remaining. Some frets, primarily the lower ones, have been replaced in the past, and while there is some variation in fret height depending on the location, they currently maintain a playable height.

The nut and some frets have been replaced in the past.
We have recently performed a saddle replacement and nut slot adjustment at our repair center.
