USED Fender Custom Shop / 1964 Jazz Bass NOS Sonic Blue 2017 [03]

A used Custom Shop Jazz Bass from 2017, equipped with hand-wound pickups, has just arrived!!

Even now, more than 60 years after its debut, the Jazz Bass remains an undisputed favorite among the countless electric basses on the market.
This particular model, now in stock, is based on the 1964 specifications while incorporating modern playability.

The specs include an authentic alder body (all-lacquer finish), a rosewood fingerboard, and a straight-grained maple neck (60s J-Bass “U” shape), equipped with hand-wound vintage-style pickups.
Particularly noteworthy are the neck specifications: the fingerboard radius is 9.5R, which is slightly flatter than standard. To match this, the instrument is equipped with taller “DUNLOP 6105” frets, ensuring comfortable playability while maintaining a vintage-like sound character.

Although this is a used instrument that is just under 10 years old, it plays perfectly and has been fully adjusted.
Although it was originally a NOS (New Old Stock) model with no relic effects, the previous owner’s extensive use has given it a natural, well-worn character.
The color is Sonic Blue, but it has developed a slight sun-faded appearance over time, resulting in a slightly darker hue. The combination with the parchment-colored pickguard looks absolutely fantastic.

The condition clearly shows it has been well-used, with overall signs of wear such as dents, scratches, and paint chips. There is a paint chip of about 1 cm on the 4th-string cutaway, a dent on the back of the neck near the 8th fret, paint cracks on both sides of the neck pocket, and numerous dents visible on the body sides, end, and headstock.
Some parts show rust and tarnish. The certificate sleeve is torn.
Both the case and the guitar itself have a slight odor.

Although it shows signs of use, it is in perfect playing condition and comes highly recommended. Please consider this instrument.
