We have received a used FUJIGEN JMJ2-ASH-DE-M/Transparent Black Flat.

This is part of FUJIGEN’s “J-Standard Mighty Jazz” series of modern basses. While based on the traditional JB style, this model features EMG pickups and a 24-fret design, making it highly versatile for live performances.

The combination of an ash body, maple neck, and maple fingerboard delivers a crisp attack and clear tone. The ash grain visible through the Transparent Black Flat finish is another attractive feature.

It is equipped with EMG J and EMG MM-TW pickups. The tone knob’s push/pull function allows you to switch the bridge pickup’s mode, offering a wide range of sounds from a powerful humbucker tone to a well-defined single-coil tone.

The truss rod functions properly. There is a scratch of about 5 mm near the logo on the headstock top and a linear scratch on the back of the body, but overall, the instrument is in relatively good condition.

While based on the JB style, this instrument combines the high playability and wide range of sound variations characteristic of modern basses. We highly recommend this model to anyone looking for a Japanese-made bass that’s ready to play right out of the box.
